We are thrilled to see Claire Adam, winner of the Authors’ Club Best First Novel Award (BFNA) in 2020, on this year’s Booker Prize longlist for her quietly compelling second novel Love Forms (Faber). Claire was our lunch speaker in June, interviewed by club chair Lucy Popescu.
We are also delighted that Andrew Miller, our BFNA guest adjudicator in 2020, is on the longlist for his evocative historical novel The Land in Winter (Sceptre), winner of the 2025 Walter Scott Prize.
Finally, Benjamin Markovits is another author we are rooting for. He came to talk to the club about his masterful, bittersweet novel The Rest of Our Lives (Faber) in May.
