London
An evening of spells, dark fairy tales, vampires and ghosts: our literary Halloween special features Suzi Feay reading from her book of spooky verse, ‘Maledictions’ and Cathi Unsworth discussing ‘Season of the Witch’, a history of Goth culture in music, film and books.
Formerly literary editor of the Independent on Sunday for 11 years, Suzi Feay has performed her poetry at the South Bank, the Courtauld and the Poetry Cafe, and has published in the London Magazine, Poetry Scotland, Poetry Review and the Aftershock Review.
Cathi Unsworth began writing about Goth culture in Sounds at the age of 19. The author of six pop-culture-laced noir thrillers, she has published widely in newspapers and magazines. ‘Defying Gravity’, her biography of Punk icon Jordan, was a Book of the Year in the Daily Telegraph.
